I knew when I first read it that Raul was lying. Check the previous post from a few years ago. They only ever lie.
In this case, the idea that they would allow anyone to leave was absurd.
They will never allow this, unless they save or make money on it.
The idea mentioned in the article - the new Mariel Deportation - came to mind when I first saw the headline.
He'd let those he wanted out - criminals, gays, people with no visible means of support to leave.
But never those who generated revenue for him, or might embarrass him by telling the truth.
And I was right.
